5 great apps for photo editing!
If you’re an entrepreneur, chances are you need to take photos on your phone for your business at least once-in-a-while. Do you struggle with how to edit your photos to get the best results possible? Are you stuck trying to figure out how to edit your photos to match your brand? Well, guess what buttercup? You’re in luck! I’ve compiled my top 5 photo editing apps so you can achieve the look you want, all from your phone!
#1
App: Adobe Lightroom Photo Editor
Overview: This app is SURPRISINGLY close to how amazing the computer version of Lightroom is. You are able to do basic photo editing such as lighting, white balance, softening, contrast, healing brush, etc. There are also presets and filters available on the app that can make easy, consistent editing for your brand.
My favorite feature: I can’t choose just one – the reason this is my favorite app is because it almost feels like I’m editing on my computer, rather than my phone. The features are incredible.
Cost: Free

App: Enlight Quickshot
Description: This app has editing tools and features like most other basic editing apps, but also includes filters such as sky overlays, effect overlays, and healing brushes.
My favorite feature: I think this is a fun app when I’m really wanting to play around with my images. I lean more towards being a traditional/truest photographer so I RARELY edit my images to this extreme – but it sure is fun to play around with different skies and fun bokeh-esque filters!
Cost: Free (pro version gives access to many more filters, overlays, effects, etc. $19.99/yr)

App: InShot
Description: This is another great, basic editing app. It has normal editing features, along with filters, and the ability to add text to your photos easily. There are quite a few features that require an upgrade or additional purchase though. But for basic editing – this is a great app to use.
My favorite feature: The ability to crop video in to a square ratio. I’m not super tech-savy when it comes to video, so having this app to help me easily and quickly crop a video to a square is SUPER helpful, rather than struggling through it on my computer.
Cost: Free (pro version for more filters, editing tools, etc is $3.99/mo, $14.99/yr, $34.99 one time purchase)

App: Pixaloop
Description: This app adds movement into your images with just a few clicks. There are many basic elements that create movement into your images, and there are other features that require the pro version of the app. It’s a fun way to make your images unique by adding movement to a still image, rather than video.
My favorite feature: This is my favorite app for making water movement from travel photos. Seriously – go play around in this app! So much fun!
Cost: Free (pro version for more features is $5.99/mo, $19.99/yr, $59.99 one time purchase)

I hope this list helps you feel less stressed when it comes to taking photos and editing them for your business. We all need good resources when it comes to productivity and quality for our business.
These apps can also make posting to social media WAY less of a headache because you’re able to capture, edit, and post all from your phone. Let me know what you think of these apps and if you have any other favorites!
PS:
I am not sponsored by any of these apps – I just genuinely love them.
PPS:
I also hope that this does open people’s eyes to the fact that SO MUCH of what we see online is edited.
Don’t expect to have that beach you saw on Instagram to yourself just because your favorite influencer posted a photo of themselves solo. They likely removed random people out of the background, or posed perfectly so it appeared to be a private beach. Not every sunset or blue sky is real – those can also be faked… so soak in real beauty with your own eyeballs – not just through your news feed.
Let’s keep a healthy dose of reality and expectations in our digital consumption. Here at Bridget Marie Images, you’ll know it if I edit a photo beyond realistic expectations – because I’ll tell you haha. My goal is to capture natural beauty; not to create it in my phone.
Use these apps to help up-level your photo game for your business…but don’t lose touch with reality. You and your life contains beauty without filters.
